This Weekend

So this evening I am heading over to Seattle! I will be having a fun-filled weekend with someone awesome. I'm really excited to see how this weekend goes, for I am certain it will continue us in the direction we have been going. (A good direction!) I hope you all have a fabulous weekend, and I will update when I get back early next week!

Oh yeah! The weather here in Seattle has been pretty nice, but today isn't looking very promising. At least not on the peninsula! I am hoping it will get at least a little nicer for my walk down to the ferry, and of course for my actual ferry ride!

Take care guys!
I'll talk to you all on Sunday or Monday.

I Told Myself

I told myself that this would be a great summer. I told myself that I wouldn't let anything get me down. I told myself that I would make sure this last year as a teenager would be fantastic. So far, none of it is working out. This summer so far has been filled with letdowns and bad news. Letting things get me down is the least of my worries right now, but sadly I am indeed letting them. It's a normal reaction, though, in my opinion at least. The fact that I turn twenty in less than two months means that I will no longer be a teenager. I thought this last year as a "non-adult yet still an adult" would be awesome. I just don't know what I'm doing anymore.  I have said this so many times, and it's always been true. My life is at a stand-still. Where to go, what to do, what to say... None of it makes any sense. I guess you could say that I'm just as confused as ever, trying to make it through life with no concept of what I'm doing. I just want to have a good time this summer, letting go of my worries (which I have a lot of right now) and just living. But... I don't know how. My problem is that. I never know how.

A Summer Adventure

As I was clicking through videos on youtube, I ran across this one. I've heard the song before, but this video really started to make me think. (Click "this video" to see it) I realized how badly I want a summer adventure. I'm talking road trips, theme parks, staying up too late, good music and horror movies, entirely too much fun and pictures to prove it all. I want this summer to go down in my memory as the best summer of my teenager years, and considering it's the summer before I turn twenty, that would be very fitting. I just don't want this summer to end up like every other summer. I want excitement, adventure, just.. fun. I cannot express how much that needs to happen. I feel like my mind is slipping. I need something like this to bring me back to reality.

I had a photoshoot today! Plus a date!

AHH! I had a photoshoot today! My friend's band, To Paint The Sky, asked me to do their Summer promo shoot! I am beyond excited to be able to work with such talented musicians! I will definitely post some of the photos here for you guys once I get them uploaded!

ALSO, I have a date on Tuesday...! AHH! I'm so freaking excited you guys really have no idea! I've known this cute boy pretty much my whole life, since I first met him when I was in 1st grade and he was in 3rd. He is my brother's childhood best friend, and I always thought he was just the coolest and cutest out of all my brother's friends. Now, fast forward to ages 19 and 22, and we are hitting it off amazingly well, and we have planned a date! A REAL DATE! And he's the one that called it that, not me..!

Summer is off to a rocky start, but I have a feeling that it's going to be AWESOME. Well, if things continue the way that they have been this last week!

My Maey's situation has not improved, but her spirits certainly have. Thank you to everyone that has sent thoughts her way. I will update you guys if anything changes.

Take care, all! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend.
(:

Weekend with my boy!

So this weekend was amazing. Not only was the weather absolutely perfect, but I got to spend the entire weekend with my boyfriend! It was pretty awesome, and after a minor slip up with the ferry, he came over to my side of the water and we went exploring on the beach at the end of my street! Summer is officially hereeee.. so here are some pictures from Saturday!

My favorite picture of the day is the crab on it's back. It was such an awesome day, and continued into an awesome weekend. Although I'm going home tomorrow, I know that it just means that we will have an awesome and amazing time next week when I'm here again!

I hope you blogger fellows know how happy I am. This whole thing is truly wonderful, and I can't wait to see where the summer takes us. I can't wait for everything to happen.. just.. AHHHH! It's going to be so amazing. So freaking amazing.

Deep Down

I am stripping myself clean of the insecurities that rule my life. My life is going quite amazing as of lately, and I'm sitting here worrying about what will go wrong. Deep down I have this gut feeling that nothing will actually go wrong, but there's all those other times running through my head. I have vowed to make this summer an amazing one, and my dad is throwing a wrench into those promises I've made for myself, plus my anxiety taking over... again. I want nothing more than to rid myself of everything that makes me think this way. The first step is taking more chances. I've already done quite a few with my boyfriend, even if they are little ones. I love the fact that he has faith in me. He believes that I can overcome all of this bullshit that goes on in my head, and he's made it clear that he's there for me ever step of the way. God, why is this kid so awesome? I hope he knows how much he means to me. I just cannot wait until this summer. The weather today is kind of being a tease, and this weekend is supposed to be around 75ยบ! How awesome? I get to spend the entire day tomorrow with my man. Oh, on a side note.. I let him into a part of me last night that few have ever seen before. I read him some of the poetry I wrote when I was freshman in high school, and I read him about a total of two pages from the book I wrote. The book isn't that big of a deal, considering they started as blogs on myspace, so many people have read those words.. but the fact that I was on the phone with him, reading these things, with nothing but silence on the other end.. then, his reaction. The best reaction anyone could have ever given. I told him once he reads my book, he will probably see me as completely insane, but he doesn't believe me. I love that. I love that he doesn't believe the negative things I believe about myself. Ohhhh god, please let this last. I really, really, REALLY like him.. and for once, he really, really, REALLY likes me.

The campout, spending time with thee boyfrienddd (who is going to the campout too!) and tons of awesome adventures that I'm sure will happen. I refuse to allow this summer to be yet another let down, I've had too many of those. So I decided to make a list of the things I'd like to do this summer. I doubt I will accomplish them all, but hey, it's better to have at least an idea of what you want to do! So here you go guys, my Summer 2011 To-Do List!

Boyfrannn! Plus Folk Life!

Bloggers, meet Dillon! This is my boyfriend... and he's kind of awesome. Yesterday a bunch of us went to Folk Life! It's like a massive hippie fest in Seattle haha. We went with my friend Kimberly, her friend Taylor, plus Dillon's friend Willie. It was a lot of fun, BUT... I forgot my camera. OH MY GOD. I have never been so upset! And it really didn't help that I saw a bajillion and a half REALLY nice cameras while we were there, which just reminded me that I, in fact, did not have my baby camera. Anyways... It got pretty bad at some points with my anxiety, considering there's thousands of people at Seattle Center, so you get butt rubbed by random people and you're pretty much diving face first into a crowd of people (Which, if you didn't know, is HORRIBLE for me and my thought process for my anxiety) Overall it was a lot of fun. Tomorrow he might be driving me back to my dad's.. SAD.. but then we'd get to spend the whole day together! Then Saturday he said he would probably make a trip over there. Oh goodness! So he's going to the Boyce Family Campout with me! EEEEE! I'm so excited for this guys (: I think it's going to be a great summer...

Summer 2011 Playlist

Well, it's quite clear that Summer is rapidly approaching. So what does that mean? Besides the obvious tan lines and Kool Aid popsicles, it means summer music! Here are my picks for my summer playlist... Enjoy!

Birds and Stuff by The New Limb

Daylight by Matt and Kim

I Feel Weird by Steel Train

Energy by Apples In Stereo

Heartbroke by The Good Life

Hallelujah by The Helio Sequence

Well there you have it guys! Some of those songs are super old, but summer songs (to me) nonetheless! So I hope you enjoy and I hope you all have a kick ass start to your summer...!

Summer

With summer quickly creeping up on us, I have come to the realization that I won't be doing much. I've already comes to terms with the fact that there's a 99% chance that I'm NOT going to the 20th annual Boyce Family Campout, which I have never missed a year of. Okay, so maybe I haven't come to terms with that. It just really upsets me because they changed the "rules" for paying for this year. The 20th anniversary.  I honestly don't know how I'm supposed to pay like $100 for myself. Let alone the fact that I was really hoping to bring someone with me this year.

Anyways, where was I?

Oh right, summer plans. I really don't think I will be doing anything. My "friends" all seem to forget about the fact that I'm a human being with feelings. I can't work at this moment in time, I'm not taking any classes, and I can't do things by myself (due to my anxiety). So what to do? I want to go on epic adventures, go on a road trip, have a ton of fun, and just live my life. Something I can't say I've done in a good four years.

Oh, and I'd love to go garage sale hunting..
